Yesterday was a early start, after the gang did their early run, yog with Linda, a group of up headed to the beach in Essaouira a sea side city a 2.5 hour taxi rode from Marrakech. Can you imagine going that far for a swim in the ocean, had we not went we would not have see the Arabian horses preparing for a show and the goats in the tree.
We went through many small farming villages, where the farmers were coming to town side saddle on donkeys or with their goods in a donkey cart. The streets were lined with cars and donkey carts.
There was also a new of communities sprouting up along the way.
We arrived at the beach at noon, the huge waves were rolling in. The water felt ice cold however it was very refreshing. It was sure a change from 40 to 26, a true breath of fresh air.
Long walks on the beach seeing the kiters one way and the fishing boats the other.
The ride back was not as long the only stop was at the beer store, they were quite shocked to see two women, the Nancy's and our translator Ahmed in their.
Then it was off for dinner at a beautiful Moroccan restaurant - Dar Mimoun - a favourite of Linda's .
Another wonderful day in Marrakech
